How to Register for RemitWire?

Option 1

How to remit funds?

Once registered with remitwire solution, you can remit funds to Sri Lanka using one of three payment methods: 

Bank Transfer

Send funds from your bank to BOC UK’s account

Once the online transfer is made, the bank will verify the payment and proceed the remit.

Typically, we shall ensure that your hard-earned money will be remitted to the beneficiary’s account in any branch of BOC within one hour and other banks within a working day. You will receive a confirmation by email of the transfer.

No. The previous system has been discontinued. Therefore, all existing and new customers are required to move to the new remit wire system, which is introduced to improve the experience, security of money remittances to Sri Lanka.

Funds cannot be added to the wallet for transfers. The wallet is only used to credit refunds from rejected transfers, which can then be used for future transactions within the app.

You can add many beneficiaries as you wish. You can also add upto 4 accounts under the same beneficiary name.

Yes. You can send in LKR, GBP, USD, EUR as your destination currency to any personal account held in any bank in Sri Lanka.
