Mr. Chris Fitzgibbon chairs the Bank’s Audit and Compliance Committee and is a member of the Bank’s Risk Committee.

With over 15 years of experience as an Independent Non-Executive Director, Mr. Fitzgibbon brings deep expertise in governance, audit oversight, and regulatory compliance within the UK banking sector.

His extensive background includes leadership roles on audit and risk committees at various UK-regulated financial institutions. He has a proven track record of working closely with the UK regulators, contributing to board effectiveness reviews, executive recruitment, and strategic oversight aligned with evolving regulatory standards.

Prior to joining our Board, Mr. Fitzgibbon held non executive roles at Bank of China UK, BOC Finance Ireland and Bank of Baroda UK and chaired their audit committees. He was also non executive Chairman of the Board of Kexim Bank UK.

Before his board appointments, Mr. Fitzgibbon was a partner at Deloitte London. He is also a qualified barrister and read classics and law at Brasenose College, Oxford.
