Madhawa Dissanayake

Madhawa Dissanayake is a seasoned banking professional with over 23 years of experience, he brings extensive expertise in corporate banking, credit & relationship management, retail banking, and international operations. He is actively engaged in strategic planning, policy formulation, regulatory compliance, and driving operational excellence.

In Sri Lanka, Madhawa held key leadership roles at BOC, including Assistant General Manager – Corporate Relations, where he led strategic initiatives to build institutional partnerships, manage high-value corporate clients and enhanced service delivery during a period of national economic challenges. He also served as AGM – Accounting & Tax prior to this appointment. His international focus included enhancing cross-border banking and engaging with Sri Lankan diaspora communities in Italy.

He holds master’s degrees in business administration (MBA), Financial Economics (MFE), and commerce (M.com). His academic background is supported by multi-disciplinary professional certifications in Marketing, HR and Bank Management and memberships including the Institute of Certified Management Accountants (CMA–Australia) and the Chartered Institute of Personnel Management (ACIPM–Sri Lanka). He is also an Associate Member of the Institute of Bankers of Sri Lanka (AIB-Sri Lanka) and other leading professional bodies.
